Real Therapy For Real Life
Has recent stress left you feeling overwhelmed?
- Are you feeling misunderstood in your relationship?
- Are you feeling more withdrawn, more irritable, and less like yourself?
- Do you feel as if no one is caring for your needs, including yourself?
- Have you been waiting for parts of your life to improve but feeling stuck?
- Do you tend to have high expectations and be hard on yourself?
Online therapy can help.
You are a busy, driven person who values your relationships. You feel like everyone is pulling from you. You feel upset, anxious and depleted during this time. You may have moments of anxiety that seemingly come from nowhere and you don’t know how to handle those moments. You’re feeling isolated and misunderstood in your relationship. You’re unwilling to give up on one another. You just need help working through some things that have been really stressful. After a hectic day, all you want is to feel recognized, understood and supported.
You work hard and are well-meaning, but that doesn’t mean you don’t have your own anxieties or struggles in your relationships. Your friends and family think you and your partner have it all together, but amidst work, family, & the inevitable craziness of life, maybe there’s been more fighting & more lingering hurt. Continuing to pretend like everything’s ok is taking its toll on you. You generally can handle challenges, but right now you may feel anxious, depressed, & simply overwhelmed. You doubt yourself. Maybe you’re so busy taking care of everyone else that even the idea of taking care of yourself seems too much. You continue to press on because that’s just what you’ve always done, but you do not need to fight this battle alone. Being “the strong one” doesn’t exclude you from having struggles or finding support. Often we have trouble asking for help until it has become unmanageable and we feel defeated. It happens to us all at times, and there are ways to find your path back.
How I Can Help
I am certified in Brainspotting, a cutting edge brain-body based therapy which helps clients overcome thoughts, feelings and behaviors that keep them stuck.
I am also trained in the Gottman Method and Emotionally Focused Therapy, approaches to therapy that help people understand and strengthen their relationships.
Additionally, I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, short-term, goal-oriented psychotherapy treatment that takes a hands-on, practical approach to problem-solving.
From these training and certifications, I have the advantage of helping clients in a more complete way; making the best use of our therapy sessions together.
